Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cath Lab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Anchorage, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive cardiac catheterization lab nursing care for adult and geriatric patients
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Monitor patients during procedural sedation and administer emergency medications as needed
• Operate and manage specialized cardiac equipment including IABP, Impella, balloon pumps, laser, rotablator, and shockwave devices
• Circulate procedures and assist with percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI)
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias during procedures
• Perform sheath removal and post-procedural monitoring
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
• Float to Electrophysiology (EP) or Interventional Radiology (IR) units as needed
• Participate in on-call coverage one day per week and every 4th/5th weekend
• Work approximately one Saturday per month as part of regular scheduled shifts
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment in comparable specialty
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Maintain valid state RN licensure
• Complete 40 hours of facility orientation
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
