Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - IR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Anchorage, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide registered nursing services in the Interventional Radiology/Cardiac Catheterization Lab
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Work 4x10 hour day shifts with on-call requirements one day per week
• Provide on-call coverage for 4th/5th weekends (Friday 1800 - Monday 0730)
• Work approximately one Saturday per month as part of scheduled shifts
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Float to Electrophysiology or other areas within the department as needed
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Assist with interventional radiology procedures and special procedures
• Monitor patients receiving procedural sedation
• Administer emergency medications and manage dysrhythmias
• Operate specialized equipment including Impella, balloon pumps, laser, rotablator, and shockwave devices
• Provide care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Maintain minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment
• Comply with infection prevention and isolation precautions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• Manage IV infusions, vasopressors, and blood product administration
• Perform sheath removal and monitoring post-procedure
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
