Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Endoscopy to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Anchorage, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide endoscopy nursing care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Perform pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care and monitoring • Assist with endoscopic procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, EUS, EBUS, ERCP, and bronchoscopy • Monitor patients during conscious sedation and recover patients from monitored anesthesia care sedation • Circulate and scrub for endoscopic procedures as needed • Handle and label specimens according to facility protocols • Operate specialized equipment including ION equipment, ultrasound, FUJI scopes, and ERBE systems • Manage airway and provide respiratory support during procedures • Document patient care and procedures using Epic charting system • Maintain current BLS certification and preferred ACLS, PALS, and SGNA certifications • Work on-call shifts every 5th weekend as required • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting • Maintain valid state nursing licensure • Comply with facility dress code and parking requirements • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties • Care for patients with various diagnoses ranging from foreign bodies to GI bleeding
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
