Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - Cath Lab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Anchorage, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Assist with STEMI procedures and cardiac interventions
• Support IABP, Impella, and Tandem Heart device operations
• Assist with structural heart procedures including PFO, TAVR, and Mitral Clip procedures
• Support interventional radiology procedures including lines, drains, and embolizations
• Assist with lower and upper extremity angiography and interventions
• Support neurointervention procedures including stroke thrombectomy
• Assist with CRM device implants and pacemaker insertions
• Work primarily in Electrophysiology (EP) Lab with cardiac ablation and mapping procedures
• Perform cardiac catheterization procedures in Cath Lab setting
• Maintain sterile field and scrub for procedures
• Perform accurate hemodynamic monitoring during procedures
• Execute EKG lead placement and rhythm interpretation
• Obtain vital signs and baseline measurements
• Document procedures using Epic charting system
• Utilize McKesson system for Cath Lab procedures
• Operate Philips X-Ray System and various specialized equipment
• Float between Cath Lab and EP Lab as needed
• Float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals when required
• Work on-call shifts 3 nights per week for 2 hours per night
• Work every 4th weekend on-call as required
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) or RCIS certifications
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
