Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide radiation therapy treatments to patients with various diagnoses including breast, lung, brain, extremity, skin, prostate, gynecological, pancreatic, and esophageal cancers • Operate Varian linacs and TrueBeam equipment for external beam therapy treatments • Perform tumor localization and utilize CBCT/kV/mV imaging for patient positioning • Administer IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy) and SBRT treatments • Conduct chart checks and maintain accurate patient documentation using ARIA system • Treat patients with prostate cancer including those with seeds/fiducials • Provide treatments for benign conditions including gynecomastia, heterotopic bone, and keloids • Perform respiratory gating procedures when clinically indicated • Float between multiple clinical sites as required based on coverage needs • Work collaboratively with radiation therapists, never working alone • Maintain radiation safety protocols and procedures at all times • Treat patients with lymphomas (Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's) and testicular cancer • Participate in prophylactic treatments and superior vena cava procedures • Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually • Maintain current ARRT T certification and BLS certification • Work flexible scheduling including potential 4x10 hour shifts when available • Report to work during storm team/hurricane team assignments as required • Adhere to facility dress code requirements • Complete compliance documentation and maintain valid state licensure • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering recent employment experience • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required • Complete all testing requirements within 48 hours when assigned
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
