Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - Interventional Rad Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, chest tube placement, embolization, gastrostomy tube placement, and stent placement • Conduct inferior vena cava (IVC) filter placement, liver biopsy, mesenteric angiogram, and thoracentesis procedures • Perform catheter/drain exchange, cystoscopy, internal/external biliary drainage, and nephrostomy procedures • Execute percutaneous transhepatic cholangiogram, renal artery stent placement, and ureteral stent placement • Manage central venous access and port placement procedures • Access and manage ports, central venous lines, and PICC lines with proper care and maintenance • Operate fluoroscopy equipment and provide accurate patient monitoring • Set up specialized equipment including Siemens single plane and GE Biplane systems • Prepare access sites and serve as room circulator during procedures • Scrub and maintain sterile field during surgical interventions • Follow isolation precautions and utilize rapid response/code teams when necessary • Maintain and stock medical equipment and supplies • Perform EKG lead placement and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias • Utilize vascular closure systems including Perclose and StarClose • Document patient care using Epic charting system • Work Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule with weekend call rotation • Provide weekend call coverage on a 1:5 rotation basis • Work 3-4 weekend shifts per contract period • Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable training modules pre-start and annually • Maintain current ARRT R and BLS certifications • Adhere to fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week • Float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed based on census and skill requirements • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required • Complete lab work and testing within 48 hours of contract signing
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
