Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - CVOR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide cardiovascular operating room nursing services with minimum 2 years of experience
• Maintain current BLS certification and obtain ACLS certification as preferred
• Work 4 10-hour day shifts Monday through Friday (06:15 - 16:45)
• Take call 2 days per week and every third weekend for average of 14 call days per 6-week schedule
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratios during procedures
• Float to main OR on same campus when no volume in CVOR
• Utilize Epic documentation system and Pyxis medication management
• Complete 24 hours of unit orientation
• Scrub for cardiac cases with proficiency preferred but not required
• Provide care for patients undergoing CABG, valve replacements, aortic procedures, TAVR, and thoracic surgeries
• Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Report to work during catastrophic events as part of Storm/Hurricane Team
• Complete laboratory testing within 48 hours of contract signing
• Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Provide two supervisor references from past 12 months
• Maintain current nursing license (NC or Compact state)
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
