Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide radiation therapy treatments to adult outpatients using external beam therapy techniques • Perform tumor localization and utilize CBCT/kV/mV imaging for patient positioning and treatment verification • Operate Varian linacs and TrueBeam equipment for radiation treatment delivery • Treat patients with various diagnoses including breast, lung, brain, extremity, skin, prostate, gynecological, pancreatic, and esophageal cancers • Provide specialized treatments including IMRT, SBRT, respiratory gating, and treatments for patients with prostate seeds/fiducials • Conduct chart checks and maintain accurate documentation in ARIA charting system • Work collaboratively with other radiation therapists as part of a treatment team • Float between multiple clinic locations within the coastal region as needed based on census and coverage requirements • Maintain radiation safety protocols and procedures throughout all treatments • Participate in treatment of 20-30 patients per day in a clinic setting • Work flexible scheduling including staggered 4x10 hour shifts (7am-5:30pm or 8am-6:30pm) • Complete required non-billable training modules pre-start and annually • Maintain current ARRT T and BLS certifications • Work storm team/hurricane team assignments during catastrophic events as required • Adhere to facility dress code requirements including royal blue scrubs • Work required holidays (2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) • Complete required compliance documentation and submit to facility within specified timeframes
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
