Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Salem, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care as a registered nurse in the operating room setting
• Maintain current BLS certification and obtain ACLS certification as preferred
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (up to 8 hours non-billable)
• Work variable day shifts including 4x10 hour schedules with start times at 07:00, 09:00, or 11:00
• Accept weekday night call shifts (8 hours, 2300-0700) and weekend scheduled/call shifts (10-12 hours)
• Work up to 6 shifts of call and/or weekend scheduled shifts per 6-week schedule
• Utilize Epic charting system for all documentation requirements
• Float to affiliate hospitals including West Valley Hospital as needed
• Assist with diverse surgical procedures including orthopedic, neurological, cardiovascular, robotic, general, urological, gynecological, and trauma cases
• Operate and maintain surgical equipment including Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and electrosurgical units
• Provide care for patients across all age groups including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Follow Universal Protocol procedures including surgical time-outs
• Maintain infection control standards and adhere to fire safety, laser safety, and radiation safety protocols
• Handle specimen collection, labeling, and proper documentation
• Respond to code situations and participate in rapid response team activities
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams and interpretation services
• Maintain current Oregon RN licensure and Oregon CNA certification
• Provide minimum of one supervisory reference and maintain current profile documentation
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
