Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform ultrasound examinations across multiple specialties including abdomen and OB/GYN • Operate state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment, computer systems, film processors and other supportive devices • Conduct comprehensive fetal anatomical surveys and obstetric examinations across all trimesters • Perform abdominal ultrasounds including liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, and bladder examinations • Provide ultrasound guidance for procedures including biopsies, fine needle aspirations, paracentesis, and thoracentesis • Work with patients across all age groups including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and patient records • Maintain current BLS certification from the AHA • Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed • Work variable start times between 0700-1130 on alternating 4x10 hour shifts • Demonstrate empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, families, visitors, and co-workers • Collaborate effectively in a team environment with interdisciplinary support staff • Perform portable ultrasound examinations when required • Conduct emergency department and ICU ultrasound procedures • Maintain active Sonography license with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) • Maintain registration with ARDMS in both Abdomen and OB/GYN specialties • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Adhere to facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
