Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - CVICU to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Salem, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide cardiovascular intensive care nursing services for patients 16 years and older with primary cardiac diagnoses • Care for patients with heart failure, post-cardiac arrest, cardiothoracic surgery, IABP therapy, and Impella insertion • Manage post PCI, pacemaker insertion, ablation, arrhythmia, STEMI/NSTEMI, and EKOS patients • Work in a blended unit environment with 18 CVICU beds and 12 CVIMCU beds • Float between CVICU and CVIMCU units as needed • Float to affiliate hospitals including West Valley Hospital when required • Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications • Utilize Epic charting system for all patient documentation • Manage arterial lines and assist with chest tube insertion/removal • Administer blood products and manage continuous IV sedation and paralytics • Provide care for ventilated patients and manage high flow nasal cannula • Monitor and manage intra-aortic balloon pumps and Impella devices • Perform pre/post cardiac catheterization and intervention care • Manage patients post cardiac surgery directly from OR • Titrate cardiac drips and vasoactive medications • Interpret arterial blood gases and cardiac dysrhythmias • Manage central lines, PICC lines, and pulmonary artery catheters • Provide care for patients with ventricular assist devices • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Work 12-hour day shifts from 0700-1930 • Maintain professional standards and unit policies • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members • Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
