Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dietician - Dietician to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Rehab in Anchorage, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and reassessments for patients in inpatient rehabilitation and LTACH/ICU settings
• Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans for patients with complex medical conditions including malnutrition, dysphagia, kidney failure, and respiratory failure
• Perform nutrition focused physical exams (NFPE) to evaluate nutritional status
• Monitor and assess patients with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, CVA, orthopedic injuries, and limb loss
• Manage enteral nutrition including tube feedings and monitor for complications
• Provide specialized nutrition therapy for patients requiring dialysis, hemodialysis, or CRRT
• Assess and manage diabetic patients including blood glucose monitoring and insulin therapy coordination
• Evaluate and treat eating disorders, failure to thrive, and protein calorie malnutrition
• Monitor fluid and electrolyte balance and provide recommendations for therapeutic interventions
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
• Document patient care and nutrition interventions using Epic charting system
• Maintain current BLS certification and state licensure
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules and compliance documentation
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
