Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dietician - Dietician to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Rehab in Anchorage, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and reassessments for adult and geriatric patients
• Perform nutrition focused physical examinations (NFPE)
• Develop individualized nutrition care plans and treatment protocols
• Manage enteral nutrition including tube feedings and monitoring
• Oversee total parenteral nutrition (TPN) therapy and monitoring
• Assess and manage patients with dysphagia and aspiration safety concerns
• Monitor and evaluate patients with malnutrition, protein calorie malnutrition, and cachexia
• Provide specialized nutrition care for patients with diabetes, kidney disease, and metabolic disorders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy
• Document patient care and nutrition interventions using Epic charting system
• Monitor fluid and electrolyte balance and intake/output requirements
• Evaluate food-drug interactions and timing considerations
• Manage nutrition therapy for patients with wounds, traumatic brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries
• Address nutritional needs for patients with chronic conditions including Parkinson's, MS, and cancer
• Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and families
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Maintain current BLS certification and state dietitian licensure
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty
• Complete required compliance documentation and certifications
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
