Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Endoscopy to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Anchorage, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide endoscopy nursing services for procedures including EUS, EBUS, ERCP, ION, Colonoscopy, and Bronchoscopy • Maintain current BLS certification and preferred ACLS, PALS, and SGNA certifications • Manage patient ratios of 1:1 across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics • Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care • Monitor and recover patients from conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care sedation • Perform circulating and scrubbing duties as required • Handle airway management and specimen handling/labeling • Operate specialized equipment including ION equipment, ultrasound, FUJI scopes, and ERBE systems • Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation • Work 4x10 day shifts with guaranteed 70 hours per 2-week period • Provide on-call coverage every 5th weekend • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting • Maintain valid Alaska RN licensure • Complete compliance documentation and certifications as required • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
