Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Electrophysiology Technologist - EP Tech Radiology Cardiology to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Anchorage, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform electrophysiology procedures including cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, and arrhythmia induction
• Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Support interventional radiology procedures including embolizations, line placements, and drain insertions
• Perform insertion and programming of AICDs and pacemaker insertion procedures
• Conduct conduction studies and electrophysiology evaluations
• Assist with structural heart procedures including TAVR, PFO closures, and mitral clip procedures
• Support neurointervention and stroke thrombectomy procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and scrub to maintain sterile field
• Perform accurate monitoring and hemodynamic monitoring
• Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and perform EKG lead placement
• Assist with temporary LVAD support and Impella insertion procedures
• Support various atherectomy and thrombectomy device procedures
• Float to Cath Lab and affiliate hospitals as needed within scope of practice
• Provide on-call coverage 3 nights per week for 2 hours per night
• Work some Saturdays as part of regular 4x10 shift schedule
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) or RCES certifications
• Utilize Epic charting system and McKesson for documentation
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty
• Maintain valid state licensure and required certifications
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
