Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cath Lab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Anchorage, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in the cardiac catheterization laboratory setting • Maintain current Alaska RN license throughout assignment • Obtain and maintain required certifications including BLS and ACLS • Work assigned 4x10 day shifts (07:00 - 17:00) • Participate in on-call coverage 1 day per week and every 4th/5th weekend (Friday 18:00 - Monday 07:30) • Work approximately 1 Saturday per month as part of scheduled shifts • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Float to Electrophysiology (EP) or Interventional Radiology (IR) departments as needed • Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation • Provide care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiac procedures • Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures • Monitor patients receiving procedural sedation • Manage specialized equipment including Impella, balloon pumps, laser, rotablater, and shockwave devices • Administer and monitor cardiac medications including antiarrhythmics and antihypertensives • Perform sheath removal and post-procedure monitoring • Maintain infection prevention and isolation precautions • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment • Use facility-provided communication devices as required for assignment duties • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Complete 40 hours of facility orientation • Adhere to all facility policies and procedures
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
