Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Endoscopy to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Anchorage, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide endoscopy nursing care for diverse patient populations including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform endoscopic procedures including EUS, EBUS, ERCP, ION, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, and EGD
• Manage conscious sedation monitoring and recovery
• Provide pre and post procedure patient care
• Handle specimen collection, labeling, and processing
• Operate specialized endoscopy equipment including ION equipment, ultrasound, FUJI scopes, and ERBE systems
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratios during procedures
• Work 4x10 hour day shifts (07:00-17:00)
• Participate in on-call coverage every 5th weekend
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Document patient care using Epic charting system
• Float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Maintain current BLS certification and preferred ACLS, PALS, and SGNA certifications
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Manage patient care for conditions ranging from foreign bodies to GI bleeds
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty
• Comply with facility policies including dress code and safety requirements
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices as required
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
