Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate OT - Therapy Rehab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Rehab in Anchorage, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide occupational therapy services in inpatient rehabilitation setting treating stroke, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, and amputations • Work with adult and geriatric patient populations in 56-bed facility • Maintain current BLS and NBCOT certifications • Maintain valid state licensure • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Work 4x10 day shifts (40 hours) with approximately 2 weekend days per month • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed • Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually • Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting • Complete required compliance documentation and certifications • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties • Adhere to facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery • Perform occupational therapy assessments, evaluations, and treatments per physician orders • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans • Document patient progress and outcomes using standardized measures • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning • Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques and safety measures
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
