Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Tech - MRI Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform MRI imaging procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, and musculoskeletal scans • Conduct diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, MIP, MRP, and peripheral magnetic resonance procedures • Execute spin echo images, surface coils, T1 and T2 weighted imaging, and CINE studies • Operate GE and Siemens MRI equipment • Provide imaging services for neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Maintain current BLS and ARRT certifications • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and patient records • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (8-10 hours for acute care roles) • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments during catastrophic events • Report to work during mass casualty or disaster situations as required • Complete lab testing within 48 hours after contract signing • Attend hospital orientation during first week with daily class availability • Maintain valid NC or Compact state licensure • Provide two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months • Adhere to fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week • Comply with dress code requirements including royal blue scrubs • Float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals based on census and skill requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
