Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Tech - MRI Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform MRI imaging procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, and musculoskeletal scans
• Conduct diffusion imaging (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, and spin echo imaging
• Utilize surface coils and perform T1 and T2 weighted imaging
• Execute CINE imaging and maximum intensity projection (MIP) techniques
• Perform multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) and peripheral magnetic resonance procedures
• Operate GE and Siemens MRI equipment
• Provide imaging services for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Document patient information and procedures using Epic charting system
• Maintain current BLS certification and ARRT credentials
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (non-billable hours)
• Work assigned shift schedule of 5x8 hours, mid-shift (14:30-23:00)
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments during catastrophic events
• Float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals based on census and unit needs
• Complete hospital orientation during first week of assignment
• Adhere to facility dress code requirements (royal blue scrubs)
• Comply with fatigue policy limitations (maximum 5 consecutive days, 60 hours per week)
• Provide two supervisory references from within the past 12 months
• Maintain valid NC or Compact state licensure
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
