Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor cardiac patients with telemetry and remote monitoring capabilities
• Interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac rhythm disturbances
• Provide pre and post cardiac catheterization patient care
• Provide pre and post cardiac surgery patient care
• Perform sheath removal procedures using TR Bands and Femstop
• Access and manage ports for patient care
• Administer blood products according to protocols
• Manage central line care and maintenance
• Manage PICC line care and maintenance
• Titrate cardiac drips including Diltiazem and Amiodarone
• Manage cardiac drips such as Dobutamine, Cardizem, Milrinone, and Dopamine
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5-6 during night shifts
• Document patient care using Epic charting system
• Utilize Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Communicate using SBAR methodology
• Float between units within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Work every other weekend (5-6 weekend shifts per schedule period)
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments
• Report to work during catastrophic events, mass casualty situations, or disasters
• Complete 24 hours of unit orientation
• Pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually
• Maintain ACLS and BLS certifications
• Adhere to fatigue policy limiting work to 5 consecutive days and 60 hours per week
• Provide two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months
• Complete laboratory testing within 48 hours after contract signing
• Maintain valid NC or Compact nursing license
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
