Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cardiac Tele to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide telemetry nursing care for cardiac patients with chest pain, arrhythmias, pacemakers, or defibrillators • Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias appropriately • Administer and manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, dobutamine, milrinone, amiodarone, Lasix and heparin • Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips as ordered • Maintain patient ratios of 1:5-6 patients • Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation • Collaborate with heart failure navigator for appropriate patient care • Pass EKG testing prior to assignment start • Float to other cardiac telemetry units as needed based on census • Work with interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and other support staff • Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications • Complete 36 hours of unit orientation • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) • Adhere to weekend requirement of 4 weekend days in a 6-week timeframe • Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually • Provide blood product administration and central line care/management • Manage patients requiring isolation precautions and non-invasive airway management • Participate in rapid response team activities when needed • Maintain teamwork approach and meet behavioral expectations in all patient and staff interactions • Comply with fatigue policy limitations of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
