Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - Interventional Rad Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform interventional radiology procedures including vascular studies, neuro procedures (stroke and body work), stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, kyphoplasty, peripherals, biopsies, drainages, upper and lower extremity procedures, abdominal and pelvic procedures, genitourinary studies, venous access and neurological studies
• Operate Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment
• Maintain current BLS certification and ARRT certification
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually (8-10 hours for acute care roles)
• Utilize Epic charting system and PACS for documentation
• Handle daily caseload of 13-17 procedures
• Work first shift with staggered start times between 0700-0830 for 8 hours/day Monday-Friday
• Participate in weekends and evenings/nights on call rotation as primary and backup
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Maintain minimum 1 year of experience with previous travel experience required
• Provide care to adults, geriatrics, and some adolescent patients
• Float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed based on census and skill sets
• Complete hospital orientation during first week with full availability Monday through Friday
• Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Maintain valid state licensure (NC or Compact license)
• Provide two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months
• Complete all required compliance documentation and certifications within specified timeframes
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
