Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - Interventional Rad Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform interventional radiology procedures including vascular studies, neuro procedures (including stroke interventions), angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, kyphoplasty, peripherals, biopsies, and drainages • Operate Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment for upper and lower extremity, abdominal and pelvic, genitourinary studies, vascular studies, venous access and neurological studies • Maintain current BLS and ARRT certifications • Handle daily caseload of 13-17 procedures across adult, geriatric, and adolescent patient populations • Utilize Epic charting system and PACS for documentation and imaging management • Work first shift with staggered start times between 0700-0830 for 8 hours/day Monday through Friday • Participate in weekend and evening/night on-call rotation as primary and backup coverage • Complete hospital orientation during first week and remain fully available Monday through Friday for scheduling flexibility • Perform contrast procedures and manage accessing/managing ports, central venous access, PICC lines, and catheter exchanges • Execute specialized procedures including embolization, stent placements, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, vertebroplasty, and TIPS procedures • Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable training modules pre-start and annually through online learning, webinars, and in-person classes • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Maintain valid state licensure (NC or Compact) • Provide two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months • Adhere to fatigue policy limitations of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week • Complete all compliance testing and documentation within required timeframes • Demonstrate proficiency in both neuro/stroke and body procedure techniques
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
