Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Lab Specialist - MLT to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform laboratory testing and analysis as a Medical Laboratory Technician
• Work evening shift from 2p-10:30p with every other weekend requirement
• Utilize blood bank experience for specialized testing procedures
• Operate WellSky laboratory information system for data management
• Perform testing using Beckman Chemistry analyzer equipment
• Conduct hematology analysis using Sysmex Hematology analyzer
• Complete Trinity 9 Panel Drug Screen and fit testing requirements
• Maintain current professional licensure and certification verification
• Complete specialty specific competency testing for laboratory procedures
• Perform color vision testing and maintain visual acuity standards
• Complete required tuberculosis screening (2 Step PPD or IGRA)
• Maintain current immunization requirements including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and Tdap
• Complete skills checklist and demonstrate laboratory competencies
• Adhere to Trinity Code of Conduct and integrity standards
• Complete patient confidentiality and system security agreements
• Undergo criminal background check and education verification
• Complete Joint Commission testing and compliance requirements
• Maintain professional liability insurance coverage
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OH
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
