Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Lab Specialist - MLT to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Dublin, OH. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform laboratory testing and analysis as a Medical Laboratory Technician specializing in blood bank procedures
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including Epic Beaker LIS, Wellsky Blood Bank System, Beckman Coulter DxC 700 AU, Beckman Coulter DxI, Iris Urinalysis, Stago Compact Max Coagulation, and Sysmex XN1000/SP50 Hematology systems
• Work 36 hours per week on a 3x12 hour night shift schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Maintain current medical laboratory technician licensure and certification
• Complete required health screenings including fit testing, drug screening, PPD/IGRA testing, and various immunizations
• Adhere to code of conduct and confidentiality agreements regarding patient and proprietary information
• Complete specialty-specific competency testing and skills assessments
• Undergo background checks and verification processes including criminal background, education verification, and exclusion list screenings
• Participate in Joint Commission testing and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
• Complete required onboarding documentation and system access forms
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow laboratory protocols and procedures
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OH
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
