Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - CVOR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide scrub nursing services in cardiovascular operating room procedures • Maintain proficiency in scrubbing cardiac cases including CABG, AVR, MVR, TVR, Aortic Dissection, TAVR, and other cardiovascular procedures • Work 4 ten-hour day shifts Monday through Friday (06:15 - 16:45) • Take call 2 days per week and every third weekend, averaging 14 call days per 6-week schedule • Float to main OR on same campus when no volume in CVOR • Maintain current BLS certification • Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments during catastrophic events • Complete laboratory testing within 48 hours after contract signing • Maintain valid NC or Compact nursing license • Provide two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months • Complete 24 hours of unit orientation • Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week • Handle patient diagnoses including laser lead extractions, aortic root procedures, carotids, thoracic cases, pericardial window, ECMO, and Impella • Maintain 1:1 patient ratios during procedures • Report to work during mass casualty events or disasters as required
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
