Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - CVOR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide specialized cardiovascular operating room nursing care with 1:1 patient ratios
• Scrub for cardiac surgical procedures including CABG, AVR, MVR, TVR, aortic dissection, TAVR, and laser lead extractions
• Demonstrate proficiency in scrubbing cardiac cases and thoracic procedures
• Maintain current BLS certification throughout assignment
• Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually
• Work 10-hour day shifts (06:15 - 16:45) on a 4x10-hour schedule
• Take call 2 days per week and every third weekend for approximately 14 call days per 6-week schedule
• Float to main OR on same campus when no volume in CVOR
• Utilize Epic documentation system and SBAR communication methods
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments during catastrophic events
• Report to work during mass casualty or disaster situations as required
• Complete 24-hour unit orientation program
• Adhere to fatigue policy limitations of maximum 5 consecutive days and 60 hours per week
• Maintain valid NC or Compact state licensure
• Provide two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months
• Complete required compliance documentation and laboratory testing within 48 hours
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
