Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - CVOR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide cardiovascular operating room nursing services as a scrub nurse
• Maintain proficiency in scrubbing cardiac cases including CABG, AVR, MVR, TVR, and other cardiovascular procedures
• Work 4 ten-hour day shifts (06:15 - 16:45) Monday through Friday
• Take call 2 days per week and every third weekend for an average of 14 call days per 6-week schedule
• Float to main OR on same campus when no volume in CVOR
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Utilize Epic charting system and Pyxis medication management system
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (8-10 hours, non-billable)
• Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments during catastrophic events
• Report to work during mass casualty or disaster situations as required
• Provide care for patients undergoing thoracic cases, TAVR, laser lead extractions, aortic dissections, and ECMO procedures
• Maintain valid NC or Compact state nursing license
• Complete 24-hour unit orientation program
• Provide two supervisor references from within the past 12 months
• Adhere to fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days and 60 hours per week
• Complete laboratory testing within 48 hours of contract signing
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
