Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cath Lab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Mission Hills, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in the Catheterization Laboratory setting with previous cath lab experience required • Maintain current ACLS certification and LA City Fire Card within 30 days • Respond to on-call shifts within 30 minutes (approximately 5-6 shifts every 2 weeks) • Work every other weekend call coverage from Friday 5:30pm until Monday 7am • Administer and monitor procedural sedation for patients • Circulate procedures and scrub for catheterization procedures (preferred) • Perform diagnostic right and left heart catheterizations • Assist with interventional catheterization procedures • Interpret and manage patient dysrhythmias during procedures • Monitor pulmonary artery lines and Swan Ganz catheters • Utilize Epic charting system for computerized documentation • Care for adult and geriatric patients in the catheterization laboratory • Float between all facilities within the state as assigned • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Maintain valid California state nursing license • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years • Work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules through Workramp transcripts • Adhere to facility policies regarding patient care delivery and safety protocols
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
