Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures including bone scans, brain scans, cardiac studies, and renal imaging • Conduct lymphoscintigraphy studies including tracer injection procedures • Perform gastric emptying studies and HIDA scans • Administer adenosine and persantine infusions for pharmacological stress testing • Execute exercise/rest cardiac imaging protocols both single and multiple phase • Conduct three-phase bone scans and whole body imaging • Perform I-123 uptake scans and sestamibi parathyroid imaging • Administer DTPA aerosol studies and ventilation/perfusion scans • Start and maintain intravenous lines for tracer administration • Operate nuclear medicine equipment including Philips systems • Utilize Epic charting system for documentation and patient records • Provide on-call coverage weekdays 4pm-11pm and weekends/holidays 7am-11pm • Float between facilities within the state as required • Maintain current BLS and NMTCB certifications • Complete required training modules pre-start and annually • Provide care to adult and geriatric patient populations • Work with interdisciplinary teams including interpretation and transportation services • Commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays as required • Maintain valid California state licensure • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within last 3 years • Complete required compliance documentation and background checks • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
