Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammo Tech - Mammo Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Santa Monica, CA. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations
• Operate mammography equipment including 3-D mammography and digital mammography systems
• Conduct stereotactic biopsy procedures and needle localizations
• Utilize PACS system for image storage and retrieval
• Perform weekly quality assurance and quality control procedures
• Document patient information and examination results using Epic charting system
• Provide care for patients across multiple age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Handle daily caseload of 30+ patients
• Work every other Saturday rotation from 8:00-12:00
• Maintain current BLS certification and state licensure
• Maintain ARRT M, ARRT R, and CRT certifications
• Complete minimum 200 mammograms every 2 years
• Obtain minimum 15 CEUs in mammography every 3 years
• Float between facilities within the state as required
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Use facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties
• Complete compliance documentation and maintain required certifications
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in CA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
