Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Tech - MRI Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Bolivia, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform MRI imaging procedures for adult acute care, adult outpatient, and ER/trauma patients
• Conduct abdominal and pelvic imaging including MRA, MRV, MRCP, and male/female pelvis studies
• Operate GE 1.5T 450W scanner and GE 1.5T Artist scanner equipment
• Perform head and neck imaging including brain, cranial nerves, face/neck soft tissue, and orbital studies
• Execute musculoskeletal imaging for extremities, joints, spine, and temporomandibular joint studies
• Administer and prepare contrast media as required for imaging procedures
• Start peripheral IVs when necessary for contrast administration
• Implement isolation precautions according to facility protocols
• Perform special imaging procedures including CINE, diffusion, gradient echo, and spin echo imaging
• Conduct image post-processing including ADC mapping, subtraction, MIP, and multiplanar reconstruction
• Perform spinal imaging for cervical, lumbar, sacrum/coccyx, and thoracic regions
• Document patient information and procedures using Epic charting system
• Maintain current ARRT MR, ARRT R, and BLS certifications
• Complete 36 hours of unit orientation training
• Work scheduled shifts including every Sunday as required
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually (8-10 hours non-billable)
• Adhere to facility dress code requirements wearing royal blue scrubs
• Maintain professional communication using SBAR methodology
• Comply with fatigue policy restrictions on consecutive work days and weekly hours
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required
• Provide two manager/supervisor references from the past 12 months
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
