Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - RAD Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform radiologic imaging procedures including extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, chest/thorax, and musculoskeletal studies • Operate imaging equipment including C-Arm procedures and portable X-ray machines • Conduct routine chest X-rays, portable chest and abdomen imaging • Perform specialized procedures such as barium studies, upper GI series, and contrast enema administration • Work with patients across all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics • Provide imaging services in various hospital departments including Emergency Department, ICU, NICU, PICU, and Operating Room • Utilize PACS system for image management and Epic charting system for documentation • Prepare and administer contrast media as required for procedures • Maintain current ARRT R certification and state licensure • Complete BLS certification and maintain current status • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules • Work scheduled night shifts Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • Accept 2-4 call shifts per month as preferred by facility • Complete 40 hours of facility orientation • Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as assigned • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within last 3 years • Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules • Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for patient care duties
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
