Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - L&D to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Oregon City, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care in Labor and Delivery unit with 1:1 patient ratios for active labor and 1:3 ratios for postpartum couples • Float between multiple sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as needed based on unit requirements • Work every other or every third weekend as required • Accept on-call assignments including 1 low census shift per pay period • Commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Utilize Epic charting system for all patient documentation • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (approximately 16 hours, non-billable) • Maintain current BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications • Provide care for neonates and adults in a Level II maternity unit with Level 1 nursery • Assist with high-risk deliveries, cesarean sections, and vaginal deliveries • Perform neonatal resuscitation and newborn assessments • Administer medications including Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and pain management protocols • Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns using external and internal fetal monitoring • Provide breastfeeding support and lactation assistance • Conduct patient and family discharge teaching • Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed • Maintain compliance with facility policies and procedures • Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within comparable specialty • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules and compliance documentation • Use facility-provided communication devices when required for patient care coordination
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
