Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Endoscopy to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Anchorage, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care in endoscopy procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, EUS, EBUS, ERCP, and ION procedures
• Monitor patients during conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care sedation
• Provide pre and post procedure patient care and education
• Recover patients from conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care
• Perform circulating and scrubbing duties during endoscopic procedures
• Handle and label specimens according to protocol
• Manage airways and provide respiratory support as needed
• Operate specialized equipment including ION equipment, ultrasound, FUJI scopes, and ERBE systems
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 during procedures
• Document patient care using Epic charting system
• Provide care for patients across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and radiology
• Take call every 5th weekend as required
• Work 4x10 hour day shifts (07:00-17:00)
• Complete 24 hours of orientation training
• Maintain current BLS certification and preferred ACLS, PALS, and SGNA certifications
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete required pre-start and annual training modules
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment in comparable specialty
• Maintain valid Alaska RN licensure
• Adhere to facility dress code and safety protocols
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
