Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dietician - Dietician to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Rehab in Anchorage, AK. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct nutrition assessments and reassessments for patients with inadequate intake, malnutrition, and altered GI function
• Perform nutrition focused physical exams (NFPE) and develop comprehensive treatment plans
• Manage enteral nutrition (tube feedings) and total parenteral nutrition (TPN) therapy
• Assess and monitor patients with dysphagia, kidney failure, and respiratory failure
• Provide specialized nutrition care for patients with wounds, CVA, SCI, orthopedic injuries, and brain injuries
• Monitor and manage nutrition for patients with limb loss, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis
• Calculate calorie counts and assess fluid status and electrolyte balance
• Manage nutrition therapy for diabetic patients including blood glucose monitoring and insulin considerations
• Coordinate nutrition care for dialysis/hemodialysis/CRRT patients
• Assess and treat nutrition-related complications including refeeding syndrome and malabsorption syndromes
• Develop therapeutic diet orders and monitor food-drug interactions and timing
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation of nutrition assessments and care plans
• Maintain current BLS certification and registered dietitian credentials
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within comparable specialty/setting
• Maintain valid state licensure and complete required compliance documentation
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AK
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
