Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT scans for busy outpatient and emergency department schedule
• Operate Siemens CT equipment for various imaging procedures
• Conduct CT scans for all patient age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform abdomen, pelvis, and chest imaging with and without contrast
• Conduct head and neck imaging including carotid, head, sinuses, soft tissue neck, and trauma head scans
• Execute spine and musculoskeletal imaging including cervical, lumbar, thoracic, and musculoskeletal trauma
• Prepare and administer contrast media as required
• Start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture procedures
• Maintain radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions
• Perform special procedures including aspirations, biopsies, CT arthrography, drainage, and myelography
• Utilize 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and region of interest measurements
• Document patient information and procedures using Epic charting system
• Work with PACS system for image management and storage
• Complete 16 hours of unit orientation and ongoing training requirements
• Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually
• Maintain current BLS and ARRT CT certifications
• Work 12-hour mid shifts (10:00 - 22:30) Friday, Saturday, and Monday
• Participate in occasional call coverage on weekly rotation basis
• Cover weekend shifts with 2-week notice when needed
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required
• Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Use facility-provided interpretation services via iPad and Zoom when needed
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
