Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT scans in the emergency department on Siemens and GE scanners • Conduct 150-200 daily scans across 4 rooms with typical caseload of 8-12 patients per 8-hour shift • Execute CT procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction • Handle Code Stroke and Level II trauma patients in fast-paced emergency department environment • Work with infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics patient populations • Operate Siemens S3000 and Sequoia CT scanners • Utilize Epic charting system and Visage imaging software for documentation • Prepare and administer contrast media as required • Perform IV starts and venipuncture procedures • Maintain radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions • Complete 48 hours of orientation training • Work weekend night shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) from 18:45 - 07:15 • Complete required pre-start and annual training modules (8-10 hours for acute care roles) • Maintain current BLS certification and ARRT(R)(CT) certification • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays as required • Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week • Be available with flexibility for schedule changes during orientation week • Float within hospital or to affiliate hospitals based on census and skill sets
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
