Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cardiac Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for cardiac telemetry patients with conditions including congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac catheterization • Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias using telemetry and remote monitoring systems • Administer and titrate cardiac drips including Diltiazem and Amiodarone • Manage vasoactive drips including Dobutamine, Cardizem, Milrinone, and Dopamine • Perform sheath removal procedures and manage TR Bands and Femstop devices • Provide pre and post cardiac catheterization patient care • Deliver pre and post cardiac surgery nursing care • Access and manage ports, central lines, and PICC lines • Administer blood products and monitor patient responses • Maintain patient ratios of 1:6-7 during night shifts • Complete required EKG testing and maintain interpretation skills • Float between units within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed • Work 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15 • Work every other weekend (5-6 weekend shifts per contract period) • Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments during catastrophic events • Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable pre-start and annual training modules • Utilize Epic documentation system and Pyxis medication management • Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications • Complete 24-hour unit orientation program • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams • Adhere to fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week • Maintain professional standards and comply with dress code requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
