Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide telemetry nursing care with PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience for adult cardiac patients
• Interpret dysrhythmias and provide remote cardiac monitoring
• Manage pre/post cardiac catheterization and cardiac surgery patients
• Perform sheath removal procedures and manage TR bands and Femstop devices
• Access and maintain ports, central lines, and PICC lines
• Administer blood products and manage isolation precautions
• Titrate cardiac drips including Diltiazem and Amiodarone
• Manage cardiac drips such as Dobutamine, Cardizem, Milrinone, and Dopamine
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:6-7 during 12-hour night shifts
• Float between units within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed
• Work 5-6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule period
• Document patient care using Epic charting system
• Utilize medication dispensing systems including Pyxis
• Communicate using SBAR methodology
• Participate in rapid response teams and interdisciplinary care
• Complete 24 hours of unit orientation
• Pass EKG testing prior to assignment start
• Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable pre-start and annual training modules
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Maintain ACLS and BLS certifications
• Report to work during catastrophic events, mass casualty situations, or disasters as part of Storm/Hurricane Team
• Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Complete required compliance testing within 48 hours of contract signing
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
