Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist to join our growing clinician community. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide radiation therapy treatments to adult outpatients using Varian linear accelerators (TrueBeam, Halcyon, and 21iX) • Perform CBCT/kV/mV imaging for patient positioning and verification • Deliver specialized treatments including IMRT, stereotactic radiosurgery, and craniospinal treatments • Treat various conditions including benign brain tumors, prostate cancer with seeds/fiducials, and prophylactic treatments • Utilize ARIA treatment planning and record/verify system • Conduct thorough chart checks to ensure treatment accuracy and safety • Maintain radiation safety protocols and implement isolation precautions when required • Work collaboratively with partner therapists during treatment delivery • Complete machine-specific orientation and training requirements • Maintain current ARRT T certification and BLS certification • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Complete required non-billable training modules pre-start and annually • Provide two supervisor references from within the past 12 months • Maintain current state licensure (NC or compact state license) • Complete compliance testing within 48 hours after contract signing • Adhere to fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days and 60 hours per week
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
