Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading $facility_type$ in Winston Salem, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide cardiac telemetry nursing care for adult patients with cardiac arrhythmias, MI, ACS, diabetes, DKA, heart failure, and post-cardiac procedures
• Monitor and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias and manage patient responses to arrhythmias
• Manage cardiac drips without titrating for blood pressure
• Maintain 1:6 patient ratio during 12-hour day shifts
• Start IVs and provide telemetry monitoring services
• Utilize Epic charting system, PYXIS, and SBAR communication protocols
• Float to other units within the hospital or affiliate hospitals as needed based on census and skill sets
• Work 8 weekend shifts per contract and 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Maintain current ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications
• Provide blood product administration and manage central line care
• Perform peripheral line care and management
• Implement isolation precautions and non-invasive airway management
• Utilize rapid response teams when appropriate
• Complete 3-day orientation including Epic training and unit-specific training
• Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually
• Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Work collaboratively as part of a team without charge nurse supervision
• Comply with dress code requirements (navy or white scrubs)
• Complete compliance documentation and laboratory testing within required timeframes
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
