Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading $facility_type$ in Winston Salem, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform both circulating and scrubbing duties in operating room procedures • Provide operating room nursing care for surgical procedures in neuro spine, ortho spine, vascular, and robotics specialties • Work 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15, Monday through Wednesday • Maintain current BLS certification throughout assignment • Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable training modules pre-start and annually • Utilize Epic charting system and other unit systems including PYXIS and SBAR • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays when they fall within contract period • Complete 36-hour minimum orientation over three days • Float between units within hospital or to affiliate hospitals based on census and skill set • Provide care for patients across all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics • Handle daily census of approximately 45 cases across 17 operating rooms • Adhere to fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week • Maintain valid state nursing license (NC or Compact state) • Provide two manager/supervisor references from within the past 12 months • Complete lab testing and compliance requirements within 48 hours of contract signing • Participate in staff meetings and utilize communication boards as required • Follow facility dress code requirements using provided ceil blue scrubs • Document patient care activities using facility charting systems
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
