Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cardiac Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care for cardiac telemetry patients with diagnoses including congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and pre/post cardiac catheterization • Monitor and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias using telemetry and remote monitoring systems • Manage cardiac drips including titration of Diltiazem and Amiodarone • Administer and monitor vasoactive drips including Dobutamine, Cardizem, Milrinone, and Dopamine • Perform pre and post cardiac catheterization care including sheath removal procedures • Utilize TR Bands and Femstop devices for post-procedural care • Access and manage ports, central lines, and PICC lines • Administer blood products and provide associated monitoring • Document patient care using Epic charting system • Maintain patient ratios of 1:6-7 patients • Float to other units within the hospital and affiliate facilities as needed • Work 12-hour day shifts from 06:45 to 19:15 • Work every other weekend (5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule) • Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments during catastrophic events • Utilize rapid response and code teams as appropriate • Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications • Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually (8-10 hours non-billable) • Pass EKG testing prior to start date • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year) • Comply with fatigue policy limiting work to maximum 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week • Provide two supervisory references from within the past 12 months • Maintain valid nursing license (NC or Compact) • Adhere to call-off policies and attendance requirements
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
