Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Tele to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Wilmington, NC. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care for telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown patients with 1:6-7 patient ratios
• Monitor and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias and provide remote monitoring
• Manage pre/post cardiac catheterization and cardiac surgery patients
• Perform sheath removal procedures and apply TR bands and Femstop devices
• Access and manage ports, central lines, and PICC lines
• Administer blood products and manage transfusion protocols
• Titrate cardiac drips including Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Cardizem, Milrinone, and Dopamine
• Utilize Epic charting system for patient documentation
• Float between units and affiliate hospitals as needed based on census and patient acuity
• Work 12-hour day shifts from 06:45 to 19:15
• Maintain ACLS and BLS certifications
• Pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Complete 24 hours of unit orientation
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year)
• Complete 8-10 hours of non-billable modules pre-start and annually
• Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments during catastrophic events
• Utilize interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• Adhere to fatigue policy of no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week
• Provide care for patients with congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and pacemaker/ICD implantations
• Demonstrate teamwork approach and meet behavioral expectations in all patient and staff interactions
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in NC
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
