Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist - CT Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Newberg, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform CT imaging procedures including abdomen, chest, head, pelvis, and vascular studies with and without contrast • Operate 2 CT units (both GE equipment) and associated contrast injectors • Provide general X-ray coverage for part of shift working independently • Perform 3D rendering including maximum intensity projection, surface shaded displays, and volume rendering • Execute multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) and region of interest measurements (ROI) • Prepare and administer contrast media safely • Start peripheral IVs as needed • Maintain radiation safety protocols and procedures • Utilize PACS system for image storage and retrieval • Document patient care and procedures using Epic charting system • Cover emergency department, inpatient, and urgent care referral cases • Work with various patient populations including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services and rapid response teams • Maintain current ARRT CT, ARRT R, BLS, and state licensure certifications • Complete required training modules pre-start and annually • Work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night shifts weekly • Commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) • Float to affiliate hospitals as required • Provide backup coverage for X-ray and CT departments when needed • Operate portable X-ray units (Carestream & GE) and C-arms as needed • Maintain compliance with facility policies and procedures • Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
