Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - Cath Lab to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Days at a leading Hospital in Flagstaff, AZ. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care in the Cath Lab setting with 2+ years of experience required
• Maintain active, unrestricted Arizona RN License or valid compact license
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Work 4x10 hour shifts (0700-1730) with 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Take call shifts - 18 days of call in an 8-week period
• Work weekends as needed, usually every other weekend
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Weekend, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day)
• Float to pre and post cath lab areas as required
• Float to other units within hospital or affiliate hospitals based on skills and census needs
• Demonstrate proficiency in 2 of 3 areas: Cardiac interventional, Endovascular aneurysm procedures, and EP lab
• Manage high acuity patients independently as potentially the only RN on 3-person call team
• Perform procedures including EVAR, TEVAR, PCI, Stents, Carotid stents, IABP placements, Impellas, EP procedures, and ablations
• Demonstrate experience with STEMI procedures
• Operate GE and Phillips equipment in 2-room cath lab
• Assist in 4-bay pre/post procedure area
• Provide care for adult and geriatric patients with daily census of 4
• Utilize Cerner charting system for documentation
• Circulate procedures and interpret/manage dysrhythmias
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation
• Monitor pulmonary artery lines/Swan Ganz
• Perform triage functions
• Complete required modules and training (average 6 hours) during first week orientation
• Provide two professional references with one from most recent employer within 1 year
• Adhere to facility quality and patient safety standards including medication administration (BCMA)
• Complete lab entry within 72 hours after contract signing
• Complete all required testing within 48 hours (excluding drug screening which must be completed 30 days prior to start)
• Submit compliance documentation by Wednesday prior to start date
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AZ
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
