Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Days at a leading Hospital in Flagstaff, AZ. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care as an Operating Room Registered Nurse for high volume ortho, trauma and spine cases
• Maintain active, unrestricted Arizona RN License or valid compact license
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Work 3x12 hour day shifts (0700-1900) Friday through Sunday block schedule
• Provide 1:1 patient care ratios in operating room setting
• Handle Level I trauma cases including general, ortho, spine, trauma, and neuro procedures (specifically craniotomies)
• Assist with various surgical procedures including joint replacements, spinal fusions, craniotomies, and trauma cases
• Complete limited on-call requirements (8 weeknight calls in an 8-week period with 30-minute callback time)
• Utilize Cerner charting system for documentation
• Float to other areas as helping hands based on job role and abilities
• Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Weekend, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day)
• Complete 40 hours of orientation training
• Complete required modules and compliance documentation during first week (average 6 hours)
• Provide two professional references with one from most recent employer within 1 year
• Adhere to facility quality and patient safety standards including medication administration protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Handle minimal pediatric cases as needed
• Scrub capabilities preferred for enhanced OR support
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AZ
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
