Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - OR to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 3x12 Nights at a leading Hospital in Flagstaff, AZ. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct patient care as an Operating Room Registered Nurse in a Level I trauma center with 11 high-volume OR rooms • Maintain active, unrestricted Arizona RN License or valid compact license • Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications • Work in general, orthopedic, spine, trauma, and neurological surgical cases including craniotomies • Provide care for high-volume orthopedic, trauma, and spine cases across all surgical specialties with minimal pediatric cases • Utilize Cerner charting system for patient documentation • Work 3x12 night shifts (18:30-07:00) with 1:1 patient ratios • Work weekends as needed, typically every 3rd weekend • Complete 40 hours of facility orientation including required modules and training programs • Adhere to facility quality and patient safety standards including medication administration protocols • Float to other units within the hospital or affiliate hospitals as needed based on census and skill set • Scrub for surgical procedures when required (preferred skill) • Work 2 out of 3 major holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Weekend, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day) • Complete compliance documentation within required timeframes • Provide two professional references with one from most recent employer within 1 year • Complete required modules during first week of orientation averaging 6 billable hours • Maintain competency in multiple surgical specialties including trauma, neuro, endovascular, and vascular procedures • Respond to high-volume, fast-paced operating room environment • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in AZ
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
