Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RAD Tech - RAD Tech to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 4x10 Nights at a leading Hospital in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities:
• Perform radiographic examinations including chest, abdomen, extremities, and spine imaging
• Operate imaging equipment including C-Arm, O-ARM, and portable X-ray machines
• Conduct contrast studies including barium enemas, upper GI series, and contrast enemas
• Provide imaging services in multiple settings including ER, ICU, NICU, and Operating Room
• Prepare and administer contrast media as required
• Utilize PACS system for image management and Epic charting system for documentation
• Perform 150-200 exams per day Monday-Friday and 100-120 exams on weekends
• Assist with surgical procedures and fluoroscopy examinations
• Provide imaging services for all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• Float between sister facilities and affiliate hospitals as assigned
• Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually
• Maintain current ARRT R and BLS certifications
• Work 3 out of 5 major holidays as required
• Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required
• Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules
• Provide minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of experience
• Maintain valid state licensure and comply with facility policies
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in OR
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
