Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - PACU to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a Unknown at a leading Hospital in Sioux City, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide registered nursing services in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Work self-staffing shifts Monday through Friday with various time options (0630-1900, 0800-2030, 1000-2230)
• Provide overnight call coverage from 1900-0700 when scheduled
• Work every third weekend as required
• Maintain current ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications
• Complete required compliance training modules including child and adult dependent abuse training
• Complete specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklist
• Maintain valid RN licensure and complete license verification process
• Complete comprehensive health screening including drug testing, fit testing, and required vaccinations
• Undergo background check and complete all required compliance documentation
• Complete system access forms and maintain confidentiality agreements
• Participate in Joint Commission testing and maintain professional development requirements
• Follow all facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
• Complete required immunizations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, tuberculosis screening, and varicella
• Maintain professional liability insurance coverage
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
