Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate RN - PACU to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a Unknown at a leading Hospital in Sioux City, IA. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care services in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
• Work self-staffing shifts Monday through Friday with various time options (0630-1900, 0800-2030, 1000-2230)
• Participate in overnight call coverage from 1900-0700 as needed
• Work every third weekend as scheduled
• Maintain current ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications
• Complete required child and adult dependent abuse training
• Complete facility-specific skills checklist and competency testing
• Maintain valid nursing license and provide verification
• Complete required drug screening and health assessments including fit testing
• Adhere to facility code of conduct and confidentiality agreements
• Complete specialty-specific competency testing for PACU
• Maintain required immunizations including COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, tuberculosis screening, and varicella
• Complete annual physical and health statement requirements
• Submit to background checks and complete compliance verification processes
• Complete Joint Commission testing and facility-specific training modules
• Maintain professional liability insurance coverage
• Complete system access training and security protocols
Job Requirements:
- Active, unencumbered license in IA
- Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
- Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
- Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
- Two current clinical references
- State-required professional license
- Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
- TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
- Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
- Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
- Must pass background check and drug screening
